Montfort School, Azhiyanilai with the motto, empowering to shine imbibes on the internal growth and the total formation of the human character by leading the life in a righteous path. It is a fostering ground for the holistic development of every child to spread their radiance, forge growth and excellence in the society.
We began the academic year by conducting orientation sessions for our teachers on 5^th June 2023. Mr.Peter, professor of loyal college, Chennai conducted a session on different teaching-learning approaches and how to help students in their needs.
On June 14^th the little stars stepped into the gate of Montfort. The school started with an inaugural prayer by our principal Rev.Bro.Dr.Arulappan. and he welcomed the staff and students for the new academic year with dreams and goals set high.
The daily activities of our School approach on awakening every child to be the light of the world by inculcating character excellence, rational proficiency, mental and spiritual supremacy.
Having a clear vision in mind every event in our School is planned to create the leaders of tomorrow who are physically, intellectually and ethically strong to overcome all challenges with ease in every sphere of life.

Montfort School Aranthangi is an abode of learning in a short period of time just because of Bro.Mariannan, the project director and the founding principal of Montfort School. It has not been an easy transition after the covid pandemic for any of us, but his leadership and positive attitude have helped to pull us through. The farewell ceremony of Rev.Bro.Mariannan was marked by gratitude and nostalgia as faculty members came together to bid adieu to a beloved educator who had dedicated his service to our institution.
The students and parents will be ever grateful for your dedication and hard work that has brought a mighty land into its existence.

On 14^th June 2023 the school welcomed its new Principal Rev. Bro. Dr.S Arulappan, Who has academic and administrative operations with schools and educational institutions.
A welcome event was held at school by the entire teaching faculty .The new Principal delivered an acceptance speech which expressed a resolve to take the school to new heights and work for the best interests of its students.

Rev. Bro. Dr. M. Irudhayam the Provincial superior, Brothers of St. Gabriel Trichy province made us an official visit on 6^th of July 2023 to our school. Infact that was a cheerful moment and in the evening he held a formal meeting for the teachers emphasizing on the relevants of child centred education.

On July 8^th a half day seminar was conducted in Montfort school,Sivagangai on the topic “Make the Montfortians connected to the excellence in education".On the occasion, the facilitators Rev. Br. John Xavier and Dr. K. Alex Professor of St. Joseph College, Trichy gave a skilful presentation on the topic Gen Z Learners. Subsequently Rev. Fr. John Kennedy, Legal cell Madurai, deliberated on Educational laws in Tamilnadu.

The student’s leaders along with house captains were elected and pinned with badges and sashes in the presence of Mr. Prem Kumar, Sub Inspector of Aranthangi on 11th July.

On July 15^th Karmaveerar Kamarajar's 121^st birth Anniversary was celebrated with great enthusiasm and respect. Mr. Santhanam the special guest outlined various incidents of Kamarajar's life and his service in eradicating illiteracy in Tamilnadu.

A great day and a proud moment for every Indian. Our School celebrated 76th Independence day on 14^th August 2023.To commemorate the sovereignty of our nation, chief guest of the event, Dr. Lakshmi Narayan hoisted the National flag followed by cultural pogramme. Everyone’s hearts were moved with the delivery of our students deep patriotic performances. It was a day with great pride and enthusiasm.

The brother's residence "MAISON GABRIEL DESHAYES" was blessed by Father L. Sagayaraj, Apostolic Administrator of Tanjore Diocese and inaugurated by Rev.Bro.T.K.James, Assistant General,Rome in the presence of Rev. Brother Dr. Irudhayam, provincial of Trichy province on 3^rd September 2023.

The teacher’s day was celebrated on 4^th September with great reverence and fervor. The day was made extra special through the programs rendered by the student community. The students of Montfort showed their reverence towards their teachers by wishing them with cards and gifts. It was a day to remember in the lives of teachers.

The school organised a fancy-dress competition for the tiny tots of the kindergarten on 1st and 8^th September 2023. It was a delightful programme of our school’s annual events, captivating both students and parents alike. Throughout the event, the talented young ones transformed into a myriad of characters from bringing history and literature back to life.

The highly anticipated Montfez Cultural event held on 18^th October 2023 provided an avenue for young students to embrace teamwork, highlighting the exhilarating performances, notable achievements and the infectious energy that prevailed throughout the cultural evening. The chief guest of the event Mr.Raja, Secretary of J group of institutions honoured the winners of Montfez with shields and medals

The 03^rd Annual Sports Meet was held on 19^th October 2023. A day filled with fervor, enthusiasm, and excitement experienced amidst thrills and cheer with memories to cherish. The mesmerizing performance of all the students kept the audience enthralled in the presence of chief guest Dr.P.Kamala Kannan the general surgeon of Saradha Hospital Aranthangi. It was heart-warming to witness the cheer and encouragement as the participants filled the air reinforcing the importance of unity and collaboration. It was a day of laughter, competition and shared memories, contributing to the overall development of our students.

The School celebrated children’s day on 14-11-2023. The campus was bursting with joy as the little ones moved in their beautiful attire. Teachers took the celebration to a whole new level through their astounding performances. The fun filled day came to an end with fun games organized by the teachers. There was excitement in the air as the little champs left the School with a bag of stories about their special day at school.

All India association of Montfort schools Inter Province Competition, The Annual Inter Province folk competition was hosted by Montfort school kattur, Trichy on 24^th of November 2023 through virtual mode at Montfort Auditorium .Montfort School ,Ahiyaniali, Aranthangi won the third place in the inter School competition. Congratulations to all the participants for making our school fly high.

In the month of November, our school students from 3^rd to 8^th STD went on an educational trip to Thanjavur, Brihadeshwara Temple. Each student took notes about the temple history and how is it constructed. In the month of December students from LKG to 2nd STD went to Ibrahim Park, Pudukkottai for a day’s trip.

We are very happy to announce that Montfort School Azhiyanilai, Aranthangi received the CBSE Affiliation. We received this Affiliation after a rigorous inspection process by a team of the Inspection committee members, Mrs. Mary Shanthi, Principal of Blossom Public School, Soorakottai, Thanjavur and Mrs. Usha Kumari, Principal of Chettinad Public School, Managiri Karaikudi on 15^th December. We would like to express our sincere thanks to all our parents and well-wishers for their constant support for our endeavours to ensure quality education for our students.

Excitement reverberated in the air as the festival of joy and giving was celebrated in our school campus on 22^nd December 2023. The Christmas backdrop, carols by students, arrival of Santa and the story portraying the simplicity of the birth of Jesus Christ transformed the place into a festive arena.

Pongal is the festival of harvesting celebrated in Tamilnadu. It was awe - inspiringly celebrated in our school on 13^th January 2023. The staff and the students celebrated Pongal in its traditional vibe to make the students understand the cultural heritage of Tamilnadu. Our School staff prepared sweet Pongal and brought the true festivity into the campus. The whole campus was vibrant as the children wished each other, Happy Pongal.

In adulation of 351^st birth anniversary of our founder St. Montfort, 29^th January to 2^nd February was celebrated as Montfort week. Students of grade 4 conducted assembly and enacted scenes from the life of our founder. Various competitions were conducted on the whole week and prizes were given to the students by our Principal. Rev.Bro.Dr.Arulappan, the principal appreciated the students in his address and wished everyone to take the traits of Montfort.

Holistic Education of Montfort emphasis on the development of certain skills and traits in students like Leadership, Organization skills Compassion, tolerance, Humanity, cultural empathy and love environment nature. One such focus at Montfort school Aranthangi is the DDT Activity which is discovering, developing talents. Discovering a child's particular abilities and interest early can help in supporting them to the fullest inside the classroom and out of it. To encourage the talent of our children every Thursday one full hour is allotted for discovering and developing talents.
